Limited view!

David Davies (centre) has challenged Archbishop of Wales Barry Morgan (left) and Archbishop
of Canterbury Justin Welby (right) over their stance on refugees and people entering the UK

Wales Online today carries a report: 'This MP says the Archbishops of Canterbury and Wales are wrong about how to approach the refugee crisis'.

Monmouth MP David Davies said the Government is following the example of the Good Samaritan by caring for people in the 'nearest place of safety' and that if the archbishops listened to their “rapidly diminishing flocks” they would learn that people “want to help genuine refugees” but are “deeply concerned” about the implications of an “open door immigration policy”.

Mr Davies added, “Thousands of the most vulnerable will be rehoused in the UK. Yet nothing will be enough for campaigning clerics who contrast our policy unfavourably with that of the good Samaritan.

He suggested that they “should re-read the parable: When the Samaritan came across the Jew on the road between Jerusalem and Jericho he didn’t take him on to Samaria, instead, he paid for him to be looked after in the inn – the nearest place of safety just as we are doing today throughout the Middle East in our refugee shelters.”

A Church in Wales spokeswoman said: “We warmly welcome Mr Davies, and anyone else with a limited view of the scope of the ministry and concerns of the Church in Wales and the faith on which it is based, to join us and find out more. Our clergy serve every community in Wales.”

"Limited view"! As ever the Church in Wales exhibits no sense of proportion

  1. His ++Darkness is the one with the "limited view" - his own!
No one else's view matters in Bazzaland.
    Good for David Davies MP.

  2. Interesting take on the parable by the MP. It appears that he has a thing or two to teach the Archbishops.

  3. How smug is the last paragraph from the Church in Wales spokeswoman!
How sneering! The statement typically portrays the approach of the Archbishop to anyone who dares to contest his point of view.

  4. Simple Soul is right on the money.

"Our clergy serve every community in Wales."
Bully boy Morgan serves only himself while very few of his clergy serve the largely abandoned community of faithful anglicans who reject his priestesses, archdeaconesses, gay marriages, legalised dying et cetera.

"concerns of the Church in Wales and the faith on which it is based."
Bazza's little sect that has become a cult rooted in tearing up 2000 years of apostolic faith and teaching, supplanting it with Morgan's mantra of anything goes.

The "spokeswoman" has a bad case of verbal diarrhoea, probably penned by Darth ++Insidious himself.
How many migrants has Bazza hosted in Llys Esgob?

    1. Remember the homeless who camped in the garden of Llys Esgob during the St Paul's protest? They were thrown out by the 'Old Bill' on the request of His Darkness.

There's me thinking that it was only 'Barry Boy' (Chronicles) who suffered selective amnesia.

"Women have made at least 90 criminal complaints to police about the harassment by gangs at Cologne's main railway station on Thursday night. Germans have been shocked by the scale of the attacks, involving many groups of drunk and aggressive young men. Witnesses and police said the men were of Arab or North African appearance."

Would Bazza's "spokeswoman" be so supportive if she'd been on the receiving end of such behaviour at Cardiff railway station?

From one who claims to have witnessed the disgraceful events in Cologne.

It is most strange that His ++Darkness has nothing to say about this.

What has bully boy Bazza and his spiteful "spokeswoman" got to say about this?

Perhaps the Darth ++Insidious will send his coven of Gould, Wigley and Peggy the Pilate to Cologne to discuss the error of their ways with the men "of Arab or North African appearance"?

One less ignorant git in a job but Barry Morgan and his "spokeswoman" won't mention it.

      "Sensitivities".
The self-appointed Grand Mufti of all the faiths won't speak out for the same reason, he doesn't want to offend his friends in the Muslim Brotherhood.
The so-called peaceful Muslim majority are strangely silent on the matter too.
Bazza's 'spiteful spokeswoman' will be gagged, fearing for her job.

  5. There are 62,286 people in Mr Davies’ constituency. At the last General Election 76.2% of them turned out to vote (a high turnout). Mr Davies was returned to Westminster with 49.9% of the turnout voting for him. So Mr Davies can claim to represent 49.9% of his constituency. However, Dr Morgan (a ‘little archbishop in a little church’ – to quote a previous contributor) represents just over 0.5% of Wales. So who would appear to have the ‘limited view’?

    1. As a point of possible interest Mr Observer. If, as you maintain, Mr David Davies MP was returned to Westminster with 49.9% turnout voting for him, you will appreciate that His Darkness only required the votes of His fellow members on the bench, (all 5 of them) to elect Him as Archbishop over the Church in Wales. In which case, effectively, He does not even represent his own flock.

  6. “a limited view of the scope of the ministry and concerns of the Church in Wales” – that’s an interesting quotation from the Church in Wales spokeswoman. How diverse is the current bench of bishops? Any women? Any BAME? Any LGBT? Or are they are male, white, straight and Welsh? How limited is that view of the ministry?

Here is the true legacy of bully boy Bazza and his coven.
    http://www.churchinwales.org.uk/structure/representative-body/property/redundant-churches/
With the reported 200+ page Quinquennial report, £1.5+million repair costs, Gerwhine in the pulpit and his favourite amphibian Toad in the Office, it won't be long before Llandaff Cathedral will be added to the redundant property list.

Serving "every community in Wales"? What a pitiful claim.
As 'Observer' has helpfully identified, David Davies has a larger mandate (31,080) than Darth ++Insidious (less than 30,000)

The ears in the walls of Llys Esgob report that Darth ++Insidious is planning an imminent announcement concerning the date of his forthcoming retirement.

The ears also report that the bully boy has one of his staff monitoring this blog daily and briefing him about the contents. Your blog seems to have him on the run Ancient Briton, well done.

    1. “A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murderer is less to fear. The traitor is the plague.”

Marcus Tullius Cicero, 106 BC – 43 BC

Replace the word 'nation' with 'Church' and you have Barry Morgan.
His departure can't come soon enough, good riddance.

But as things draw to a close he would do well to consider his legacy and the unholy mess he leaves behind at Llandaff (cathedral and diocese). He won't be remembered with much fondness!

He should ponder the first verse of Ravenscroft's anthem - "therefore repent":

One hears from the walls in the Cathedral office that bazza's whining glove puppet, the slimy amphibian office administrator elect, the rest of the staff and agency workers have been engaged in some interesting staff meetings of late.
As a means of attempting to uncover unwelcome "agitators", it is alleged that they have been trying to get information out of the new gift aid officer about who has either reduced or stopped their giving.
To her credit, the ears in the walls report that so far she has refused to divulge this confidential information to Gerwhine and Toad.
One also hears that private pastoral matters are also being discussed at said staff meetings.

    You have been warned readers.

    http://www.churchinwales.org.uk/news/2016/01/new-year-message-for-square-mile-traders/

The primate in Wales pontificates once more.
“As disciples of Jesus we need to exemplify and embody the victory of love over hatred, charity over greed, selflessness over self-seeking, humility over pride, peace over war, justice over injustice and a continual reliance on God’s grace to help us in our daily lives, not just personally but corporately as well. In God’s Kingdom there cannot be happiness and wellbeing for some unless there is happiness and wellbeing for all for we are all made in God’s likeness and all of us are His sons and daughters.”

What does Darth ++Insidious know about selflessness, humility or justice in his personal or his corporate life?
    Happiness and wellbeing for all?
Not in Bazzaland for those who can't or won't accept his twisted and deviant theology.
It's only a matter of time before this bull comes back to haunt him.
