Misconduct charges filed against Katharine Jefferts Schori

A Washington-based conservative group, the American Anglican Fellowship has filed charges against the Presiding Bishop of the Episcopal Church, the Most. Rev. Katharine Jefferts Schori, alleging her $30 million legal campaign against church conservatives is an abuse of office and violates church canons. - HT Anglican Ink; story here.

  1. At long last - lawsuits against fellow Christians in the secular courts are directly in violation of a clear scriptural prohibition. And she has commenced more than 70 lawsuits, and spent more than $20m in doing so. Not only that she has deposed (by post!) some 700 clergy including a number of bishops. No tribunal, no justice, just a summary deposition. It's time she felt some heat.

  2. This will probably slowly creep through the system and be resolved after her term is over. This may derail any plans to re-elect her.

How about doing the same to His Darkness of Llandaff?

  4. The worm, known to us in these last days as 'His Darkness', is no more controllable than a circus lion.

Those who fell for him, and those willingly fooled by this fraud, are, the ones who must share the blame.

  7. We are called to hold our leaders accountable for their acts, that means clergy and laity. For these are not Christian acts, they are a mean spirited uncanonical means of robbing others property that TEC had not spent a penny.
