Anything but orthodox Christianity

Part of the human chain of "faith leaders from across Wales" who gathered outside a Cardiff Mosque as an act of solidarity with the Muslim community. BBC

In their Evening News programme yesterday, BBC Wales Today gave extensive coverage to the Welsh link in the aftermath of the Finsbury Park mosque attack.

On the extreme left of this video still as if she were preparing for the hokey cokey is the dancing Archdeacon of Llandaff, the Ven Peggy Jackson. Brought into the Church in Wales by former Archbishop of Wales, Barry Morgan, to impose his liberal agenda on the faithful, this late convert is happy to see cradle Anglicans left with no church while she supports just about any cause other than orthodox Christianity.

  1. These are the faith LEADERS from across Wales ?
    Please God help us.

So is the message from Peggy -as long as you adopt 'a faith' then it doesn't matter which faith?
No human chain will alter the teaching in the Quran.

    1. When I asked her if like me, she thought Christianity was the TRUE Faith she thought it "a philosophical question".

Peggy the Pilate "The Tax man will never know" Accountant wouldn't recognise Philosophy if it kicked her in her ample backside.

    3. From "Criteria for Selection for Ordained Ministry in the Church in Wales"

      Criterion G: Faith
Candidates should show an understanding of the Christian faith and a desire to deepen their understanding. They should demonstrate a personal commitment to Christ and a mature, robust faith which shapes their life and work. Candidates should show an ability to reflect critically on their faith and make connections between faith and contemporary life. They should demonstrate a capacity to communicate their faith engagingly and effectively.

If the bishops of the Church in Wales are content with the Archdeacon's views, a course in Communicating the faith must be the minimum requirement for her to continue in office.

    4. But that would be her faith not THE faith.

  3. Mrs Jackson interviewed me recently regarding an allegation by an unknown (to me) man that I had made a "racist" comment on Twitter. When I asked her if she was happy with the prospect of sharia law in GB she said she had, "no opinion" about it. Then she appears to be chuckling in the little group outside the mosque.

  4. Father Lloyd - Mrs. Jackson should not shrink from saying that her philosophy of life is Christianity. If, in fact the Archdeacon cannot bring herself to profess her alleged faith, then she should resign her post. By the same token I should expect a Canon to have educated herself with regard to sharia law and the threat this presents to Christianity, let alone, the culture of Great Britain.
Does Mrs Jackson read the papers, watch or listen to the news ? And is she not moved to have some feeling and understanding of the persecution of Christians which is happening somewhere at this very moment.
Imagine how the Yazidi Christians would feel, suffering genocide, to see a photograph of a senior Christian person posing as if she is ready to do the hokey-cokey outside a mosque.
Well, Fr. Lloyd I perceive a creeping Islamisation in the UK. Furthermore,I perceive that this 'human chain' demonstration is an effort to politically capitalise on the recent incident in London. The Islamic community repeatedly claim islamophobia, and when this idea is established in the mind of society, political capital is made, and by this means Islam gains concessions for the ideology.

    1. Dear Simple Soul, I agree entirely with your views of Sharia law. It is rappidly becoming akin to what ecclesiastical law used to signify in England, and , also, (prior to 1920), in Wales. Civil law matters are already dealt with under Sharia law and therefore one can argue that it has already overtaken ecclesiasical law in several areas of civil law within the UK.
The problem within the Church in Wales, coupled with the intended moral shambles and hyocrisy of the bishop of Bangor and the forecasted presence of Barry Morgan at Bangor Cathedral this coming Saturday, provides the appearance of a continued steady trend towards legalised lawlesness.

  5. Other than the 'Vulnerable' Archdeacon,(left) I cannot identify the 'faith leaders of Wales' as described by you AB. Who the hell are they? Seeing that the Church IN Wales represenets less than 1% of the population, I am entitled to ask what the hell is Peggy Pilot and the waffler in the middle doing claiming to represent the rest of us?

Ever wonder who writes this blog? For some, he is a rock. But the church is not built on stuff such as this.

  7. Having followed this blog for some time now,I am clear in my mind that Ancient Briton is an educated and sincere priest, who is distraught by the 'watering down' of the faith of the CiW. His blog is eruditely written, attempting to expose the slippery slope adopted by the heirarchy.
The CiW ,by means of the Governing Body,is run democratically. Thus we all have a right and duty to make our views known to the elected representatives of the GB.
This blog is widely read and by means of this page we may keep praying that some truth will permeate.

  9. Simple Soul - you poor deluded person - this page is a travesty! It has become a place where bitter, narrow and often cowardly people come to spread their lies and foster dis-unity and hate. You may be correct regarding the number of viewers, but it would seem that it is the same small cohort who respond in any way. So you cannot make the assumption that they all visit to receive the perceived wisdom (read BS) of AB. The reason I myself visit is to pick up prayer points for AB and his crew, that they may repent and see the light, and to report him and other contributors to the blogger website should comments become defamatory. The sooner this poor excuse for a blog shuts down, the better for the CinW it will be.

    1. Anonymous comments are not normally published but as this commentator persists in making false allegations if he/she simply added a pseudonym some interaction would be possible. May I suggest 'Hopping mad' as a suitable pseudonym and ask for examples of the lies being spread. Here a few of the anonymous comments received in response to "Fasting with friends!"

Right then AB - can't say you haven't been warned - policestation first thing tomorrow. I have also reported you to the blogger website. I'm consious that there is little they can probably do...but at least it will place you on their radar. Good ho!

      Yes AB...please do bugger off!

A step too far - even by the usual standard of contribution on this blog. Take it down now!

Dispicable comment - verges on hate speech!

Speaking of anything but "Orthodox Christianity", have you seen this?

"Church 'colluded' with sex abuse bishop Peter Ball"

    And is anyone surprised?

The 'Church' is surely nothing to do do with God and more to do with Hubris, Hedonism and Cover Your Own Arse!

  11. An opportunity to protest at 3pm tomorrow, 24th June 2017, at Bangor Cathedral, against the ordination into the anglican priesthood of Bishop Andy John' estranged wife. Archbishop Barry Morgan is expected to be present in order to uphold the biblical teaching of the second coming.

  12. Today,at this histerical ordination ceremony, Barry, and His inertia gang, will probably cross themselves and hold garlic bulbs aloft to any 'Boo hiss' from the opposition mob. "As I see it", it would be what Jesus would have done, and, with the assistance of the Cheshire based 'Reasonable Force' Security Systems Co Ltd, will enable Gods church to shrug off any dissent quite nicely thank you. It leaves little option since His Darkness didn't arrive at where He is by being mustard in the pulpit.
