Governing Body Highlight

There was one highlight at this month's meeting of the Governing Body of the Church in Wales. That was the presentation at agendum 16 Open Doors – supporting the persecuted Church.

My readers will have been here before. There have been various entries highlighting Christian persecution around the world, for example,  What it means for others to be a Christian.

How Christians suffer for their faith can be seen in an earlier 2022 video from Open Doors.

Many Christians are prepared to die for their faith while others call on the love of Jesus to justify Diversity, Inclusion and Equity (DIE) which dilutes their faith. The contrast could not be more stark.

  1. You posit a false dichotomy. Some of the bravest Christians I know are LGBT Christians who have fled persecution because they know that Christ loves them and denounces the persecution they face in countries that conflate Christianity with homophobia.

    1. You confuse persecution for pity.
But is it safe to assume that you include in your list of persecuted all the women (and I mean *real* women) who are being hounded, harassed and persecuted, whether they're lesbian or straight, by the Trans militants because they refuse to share their toilets, changing rooms, showers and prison cells with rapists, eunuchs and the reality challenged?
The alphabet soup have been crying wolf for decades.

  3. @ Rufus
By this do you include the thousands of 'illegals' who annually attempt to hoodwink UK Border Force officers by spinning any old yarn that'll give them entry into Britain. 'Oh, Sir, persecuted 'cos I am queer...' or the Moslems who feign conversion to Christianity in hopes of getting some numbskull minister to provide a character reference??? 21-year-old bearded geezers claiming to be 14-year-olds fleeing a bogus orphanage run by mad-mullah paedophiles in Sudan? Yours implies that you seem to know a lot of LGBT Christians who have fled persecution. Oddly, despite my old age and world-travels, I have never met one!!!

  4. Goodbye. Impossible to have an intelligent debate on these pages. I'll not be missed.

    1. Aw, diddums Doofus, did hurty words get too much for you cupcake?
Your dogmatic approach to all things queer and "I know best" attitude precluded all possibility of an intelligent debate with you.
Are you taking all your pseudonyms with you? I do hope so.
I predict you won't be able to stay away from AB's blog for very long and predict you'll reappear under yet another name but it will be the same pro-deviant dribble.

  5. Dear Rufus. It's not a railway station. No need to announce the departure. I really hope your church community can minister to the homeless of Cardiff who seem to be in abundance around St John's. Perhaps that is a better cause than all of the 'persecuted' LGTBXXFH folk you keep banging on about! Get your Vicar involved too. I'm sure he'd look much better in a pair of Levi's than a flowery frock. Pip pip.
