"So we sing our first hymn this morning, 'Jesus is my boyfriend.'"
ReplyDeleteThis reminds me of an Epiphany carol overheard during a boisterous sing-song in Cardiff:
DeleteWe three Queens are off in our car,
For antiques we travel afar
Auctioneering, profiteering
Then off to our favourite bar!
Rum Pansies all round!
DeleteLooks like twins are being wed !
ReplyDeleteHow many bishops are there in this pic?
ReplyDeleteAfter the Hawaiian themed wedding which involved exchanging garlands rather than rings, Bishop Robertson commented, "It's aloha from me, and it's aloha from him".
ReplyDeleteShe maketh me to lei down in green pastures...
ReplyDeleteCor Hominum
Not Lavender pastures?
DeleteBlue tie, pink tie: hmmm....
ReplyDeleteOne of them cooks the meat, the other carves it
DeleteNot the most flattering photograph of the Bishop of Viagra Falls.
ReplyDeleteI can't tell, which one is Arthur and which one is Martha?
ReplyDeleteThat you two boys match. Let me tip off the mitre and hitch the cope and we can do the Hawian Wedding song
ReplyDeleteThey look happy - why diminish that? why?
ReplyDeleteOf course they look happy, thumbing their noses to requests for moderation. They do as they please as you do Gaychristian, linking your pseudonym to a gay site celebrating 50 queer years indicating that the 'queers' you support couldn't care less so long as they have their own way. There is no Christianity in that or in your pseudonym, a misnomer if ever there was one.
DeleteBy and large they tend to be bi and large
ReplyDeleteOne gets the feeling they have plundered the Church to satisfy their own agenda.
ReplyDeleteEvermoore
The battle over female ordination, the promotion of gay unions and theological liberalism within the Church has been lost; indeed, the decisions seem irreversible. The only thing faithful, orthodox priests can do is continue to serve their parishes faithfully and for faithful laity to support them. Sadly, in too many places it is not possible to find such churches, so we all have to make do.

Look at the ties!
ReplyDeleteThe sickness continues to spread.

The comments on here make me really sad. They sound like the "send them all home" comments on immigrant-hating sites. Gay people are born gay. Like they are born with brown hair or small feet. I am sorry, Gay Christian, that some people feel that you should not exist. Not in my name. Where is Jesus in all this mocking and hatred?
ReplyDeleteSodom and Gomorrah?
DeleteI agree Unknown. Some of the comments on this site are not what I grew up with in an AngloCatholic Parish of the CinW.
DeleteBut AB will have his way and continue to foster division and hatred.
As I've said before... Enough!
Cymro
If you wish to know the truth about division in just a few minutes Cymro go to https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SbbBtE90r1A
Deletestarting at position 27.
Division and hatred?
DeleteFor that we all have that bastard Barry Morgan to thank.
Gay people are born gay? Please present some scientific evidence of this.
DeleteCarrying acts of gay sex is a voluntary action. We are all tempted to do things, and most of the time we can resist. To say that gay people have some irresistible force MAKING them carry out acts of gay sex is completely unscientific.
Unknown. You are wilfully misconstruing . Gays have always been tolerated in the Church -shame on you for not acknowledging this and instead setting out to paint opponents of gay marriage as haters of gay people.
ReplyDeleteEvermoore
Well said Sir/Madam.
DeletePlausible deniability
DeleteTed
Quite right Evermoore.
ReplyDeleteThis is another example of cultural marxism where people who simply disagree with the totalitolerent, illiberal liberal agenda are falsely and maliciously portrayed as haters and bigots.
Just because we disagree with gay marriage on the grounds of our sincerely held faith views does not mean we hate gays or not wish them to exist. Please start treating us with respect and not try to shut us down - are we too not allowed to flourish too just because we have believed what was always believed?
I think the truth is that the gay marriage lobby in CiW would have us expunged from the church with the desperate hope we didn't exist. Remember that we hold to the teaching of marriage as is the position of the CiW and not the other way around.
We hope when you get your way and make the CiW a heterodox cult you will give us the latitude you now enjoy in campaigning against the teaching of the Church. Perhaps we can set up chaplaincies for the 'orthodox' and have copious amounts of front page articles on the website? I suspect though we will be savagely and mercilessly purged.
Many with orthodox opinions have already been savagely and mercilessly purged.
DeleteIn Llandaff, if you disagree with the gay cabal, you are described as "subversive" from the pulpit by the dud in the Deanery.
In Bangor, at a meeting of clerics, one said that Bishop North and his like should be kicked out of the church.
DeleteThose stupid lot, I mean actually believing the bible and the creeds..... Guffaw!
ReplyDeleteIt's from Monty python new season!
