Discrimination and violence against women
An ideology that permits the behaviour described above has no place in civilised society yet its adherents are courted by politicians to gain their support. Even supposedly Christian leaders fall into the same trap.
The goal of Islam is to take over the entire world because they believe that Muslims have a right given by their God, Allah, to "take over the lands of the inferior non-Muslim nations where infidels do not believe in Islam and refuse to worship Allah."
The fate of the West in Muslim eyes has already been made clear.
How can anyone who enjoys their freedom vote for supporters of such an ideology?

The victims of the Manchester Arena bomber just before the lethal weapon was detonated Source: The Sun |
As the "Warped Manchester bomber's" brother awaited sentencing for his part in the murder of 22 people in the 2017 Manchester Arena terror attack in which hundreds were injured, in New Zealand an "evil mass murderer's day of reckoning" loomed.
Described as an 'Australian white supremacist' fears were expressed that Brenton Tarrant would 'spout his twisted views' when he represented himself in court.
Tarrant's rampage was indefensible. He planned to burn down the mosques and wanted to 'inflict as many fatalities as possible'.
He was condemned as a "supremacist". Islam is a supremacist ideology which seeks to convert all infidels to Islam.
A survivor of the Al Noor mosque shooting addressed Tarrant directly at the hearing. He said, "When you get a free minute, which you will have plenty of, ... maybe you should try to read the Koran. It's beautiful."
In Islam dominant countries dhimmi people are expected to pay the jizya or face death if they refuse to convert to Islam. A death sentence is also the fate of Muslims who convert from Islam. Even in some of Britain's jails 'Islamist extremists' have been extorting 'infidel tax' from fellow prisoners'.
'Convert, pay tax, or die' the Islamic State warned Christians in Iraq back in 2014.
Commenting on the BBC documentary series Once Upon a Time in Iraq, the Chaldean Archbishop of Erbil accused the BBC of overlooking the plight of persecuted Christians in Iraq and Yazidi people. He said it was "wounding and damaging" for religious minorities to have been "airbrushed" out obrother of thef the documentary.
In a letter to the BBC, the Archbishop questioned why the series had omitted to include the experiences of religious minorities who suffered rape, kidnapping and murder at the hands of ISIS.
"How can this be? Had we not suffered the war and its aftermath just like our Muslim brothers and sisters?" he wrote.
"Do you understand the persecution we have suffered in our homeland? And that Christians have existed in this land for 2,000 years, the Mandaeans and Yazidis for even longer?"
In Mozambique multiple churches have been burnt, people beheaded, young girls kidnapped, and hundreds of thousands of people displaced.
In June after reports that insurgents had beheaded 15 people in a week Bishop Luiz Fernando Lisboa of Mozambique’s Pemba diocese said that the crisis in Mozambique has largely been met with “indifference” from the rest of the world.
Elsewhere in Africa thousands of Christians have been killed by Muslims, most of the killings unreported by mainstream media. Genocidewatch reports that "350 Nigerian Christians were massacred in the first two months of 2020. Over 11,500 Christians have been murdered since June 2015. Four to five million Christians are displaced. 2000 churches were destroyed."
Nigerians in London have demonstrated outside the Nigerian High Commission handing in a letter protesting against the relentless attacks on communities in southern Kaduna by armed men of the mainly Muslim Fulani tribes.
According to Amnesty International more than 1,100 people have been killed in rural areas across several states of northern Nigeria amid "an alarming escalation in attacks and abductions during the first half of the year."
The Director of Amnesty International Nigeria said, "Terrifying attacks on rural communities in the north of Nigeria have been going on for years."
While most people have heard on news bulletins about the 22 deaths in New Zealand there is no similar reporting of the fate of thousands of Christians at the hands of Islamists.
Instead, aided by Pope Francis, churches are converted into mosques and, bizarrely, Irish schoolchildren studying for their Junior Cert Religion are required to attend a Mosque, shoes off, learning how to pray to Allah.
Around the world, and particularly in France, churches are torched and vandalised. The Catholic News Agency reports the French Interior Ministry recording 996 anti-Christian acts in 2019 - an average of 2.7 per day.
Since 2010, the Paris-based L’Observatoire de la Christianophobie (Observatory of Christianophobia) has chronicled these anti-Christian incidents and produced a map showing "Christianophobic acts".
In the UK the BBC commits £100m of its content spend on 'diverse productions and talent' which, on current trends, will include further promotion of the supremacist ideology of Islam while pushing Christianity further into the background.
Some encouraging news is the resignation of the board of Britain's largest Muslim charity after anti-semitic posts by one of its directors were uncovered, although given the circumstances they had little choice.
"It was revealed that in posts in arabic on his own Facebook account, Dr Tayara called leaders of militant Palestinian group Hamas as 'great men' who responded to the 'divine and holy call of the Muslim Brotherhood'.
"In another, he posted an image of former President Barack Obama wearing a tie branded with the Star of David, with Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and President Assad of Syria on his lap with quote marks saying 'Death to America!' and 'Death... death'.
The BBC should be aware that it is not uncommon for Muslims to practice taqiyya which presents a peaceful face of Islam for general consumption while the authentic face of Muslim is hidden in arabic.
There is no beauty in that.

Fashionable minorities

Source: Church in Wales |
Not to be left behind, the trendy Church in Wales has published their support for the #BlackLivesMatter campaign with an International Group statement released by their Chairperson, Joanna Penberthy, 129th bishop of St Davids, in which the Church in Wales' commitment to combating racism is affirmed in its response to the murder of George Floyd in the USA:
"Current events in the USA have brought to the attention of the world the extreme injustice of white supremacy and racism. In challenging racism the Church has much to learn and to repent of."
Islam is not a race but the all-party parliamentary group on British Muslims claimed that "Islamophobia is a type of racism", thus offering further protection to an ideology that has problems with the truth and denies the basic tenets of Christianity.
In its reign of terror against infidels and the wrong sort of Muslims ISIS damaged and destroyed many ancient sites in their war on cultural heritage, attacking archaeological sites with bulldozers and explosives.
Less severe, a similar attempt to blot out history has been mounted by the 'Topple The Racists' website which has named 78 statues and monuments that 'celebrate slavery and racism' it wants torn down in the wake of Black Lives Matter protests. It will not stop there.
With more foresight they would recognise that these statues are reminders of the past when standards were very different. If 'black history' is to be taught as demanded by protestors they have ready made examples to point to, for now.
Slavery is abhorrent but rather than trying to erase history, symbols of the evils of the past should be used to inform society. The past cannot be changed. The future can.
Voices need to be raised to stop modern slavery in the UK but few are.
Previous minority movements have led to undreamt of consequences. The campaign to pardon WW2 'enigma' hero Alan Turing developed into a tide of protests ultimately resulting in gender confusion, same sex marriage and, in the Church in Wales, a transgender priest and an openly lesbian bishop while orthodox Anglicanism has been jettisoned along with orthodox Anglicans.
The LGBT movement is now deeply embedded in Church, State and media. Constant efforts are made to spread LGBT propaganda in our schools.
Hand in hand with the LGBT campaign, the feminist movement previously used victimhood and sympathy to invade the Anglican Church by stealth, inching their way forward from deaconess to deacon, priest and bishop after protesting that they had no ambitions beyond being ordained deacon.
After the success of the unscrupulous WATCH campaign the Roman Catholic Church is now being similarly targeted.
Fashionable minorities have a habit of taking over resulting in confusion as exhibited by the ignorant, intolerant mob culture that has developed, often encouraged by trendy, leftist bishops.
The Church in Wales has indeed much to learn and to repent of.

Difficult questions!

The two young people Khan killed were taking part in a prisoner rehabilitation program. Khan had been invited to participate but the hand of friendship was of no consequence. Whatever good work his victims were doing to help Khan and other ex-prisoners, they were still classed as infidels in the ideology to which Khan subscribed.
The lead commissioner for Countering Extremism told the Independent at the time: “Experts and those working in prisons have raised significant concerns with me about the spread of extremist ideas and behaviours among serving prisoners. This includes the risk that individuals are becoming more extremist in prisons. There are also fears about what happens when prisoners who advocate extremist beliefs and behaviour – whether Islamist or far-right supporters – are released into our communities.”
After the latest killings outraged commentators again demanded answers to some "difficult questions" about early release and de-radicalisation but what drives a desire to kill and maim innocent people who do not share their beliefs?
That is the most difficult question but it will not be addressed for fear of attracting accusations of Islamophobia, a label concocted to ensure that, unlike other faiths, Islam is beyond question.

Five boys and pastor among 14 Christians shot dead in Burkina Faso church massacre
"An Islamist extremist attack on a church in Komondjari Province, south-east Burkina Faso, during Sunday morning worship on 1 December." - Barnabasfund
Far away from London and one of many Islamist attacks abroad which are seldom mentioned in the British media.
These are not about historical events. Christians today are being persecuted all around the world.
From the Interim Report of the Bishop of Truro’s Independent Review for the Foreign Secretary of FCO Support for Persecuted Christians:
"Violent persecution exists in many forms. Firstly there is mass violence which regularly expresses itself through the bombing of churches, as has been the case in countries such as Egypt, Pakistan and Indonesia, whereby the perpetrators raise levels of fear amongst the Christian community and attempt to suppress the community’s appetite to practice its right to public expression of freedom of religion and belief. State militaries attacking minority communities which practice a different faith to the country’s majority also constitutes a violent threat to Christian communities such as the Kachin and Chin people of Myanmar and the Christians of the Nuba mountains of Sudan. The torture of Christians is widespread in the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) and Eritrean prisons, and beatings in police custody are widely reported in India."
If Islam became dominant in this country why would Christians here be treated differently to Christians abroad?

'We are being told what to think'
The Christian Legal Centre is supporting the courageous Rev. John Parker who resigned as a governor after his concerns were ignored and silenced.
Andrea Williams, CEO of the Christian Legal Centre, said: 'This is not an isolated case and we are going to see more like it if nothing is done.
'Parents have a right to know if and when this ideological movement is in their schools and being taught as fact.
'I believe a real threat is posed to schools from organisations such as Mermaids. They implement a new ideological tyranny – and any disagreement is at best silenced, and at worst, punished.
‘The number of children confused about their sex and gender and seeking treatment is escalating and it is our children who are suffering. In imposing this ideology, we are not being kind but cruel. It is time for this to stop.
'The Church of England has one million children in its care. This is a serious God-given duty which the Church is failing at.
'It has invited the new state ideology into the classroom and it has lost confidence in its own message of what it means to be human. The Church needs to act before it is too late.' "

Brainwashing children

Poor girl! Shamima Begum was only a "child" when she travelled to Syria with two other schoolgirls in 2015 to breed more jihadis to punish the innocent in furtherance of a supremacist ideology that has resulted in 1400 years of conflict.
"She was groomed, she was brainwashed", claimed "leftie liberal, anti-racist, feminist, Muslim, part-Pakistani British journalist and author" Yasmin Alibhai-Brown.
Groomed, brainwashed or whatever, the girls were convinced that the horrendous deeds carried out by supporters of the ISIS caliphate were justified by their ideological determination to further the cause of Islam by whatever means, cultural jihad or violent jihad. For them the end justifies the means, lying to defeat the enemy when necessary.
If she was too young to understand the implications of her actions, what of five year old primary school children?
These young minds have become the focus of attention for trendy revisionists in their gender inclusion program.
In their Guidance for Schools they have come up with a plan to convince children as young as 5 that it is fine to be queer if they enjoy same sex friendships.
Recently I heard about a primary school girl who decided that she must be a lesbian because her best friend was a girl. When they parted company she decided that she must be bisexual.
School friendships are being sexualised in a process akin to grooming: "PRIDE in Early Years Education is a range of picture books, activities and lesson plans to help make children’s centres and nursery schools LGBT+ Friendly."
In yesteryear it was normal to have friends of the same sex. Childhood 'crushes' were common but that did not define a child's sexuality.
HM Government has committed £4.5m to carry out a plan to ensure that LGBT people have a future brighter than the past.
The green light for LGBT promotion in schools?
All schools should encourage respect and LGBT acceptance according to 56 members or leaders of religion and belief groups, educationists, campaigners and school leaders. They have warned the Department for Education against any dilution of LGBT advice in the independent school standards.
The list of signatories includes the usual names associated with the promotion of the LGBT cause.
Small wonder that some commentators fear that the next liberal cause will be paedophilia as activists plead that God made them as they are and need to be loved equally.
“Education, not indoctrination” is a sentiment being expressed by an increasing number of British parents according to a report in the Telegraph.
Protesters claimed that the assistant head who started the lessons and is gay has been "promoting personal beliefs and convictions about universal acceptability of homosexuality as being normal and morally correct".
The response from Ofsted says that schools should teach pupils about same-sex couples because it was important that children knew "there are families that have two mummies or two daddies".
That has become a fact of life. What started as a campaign to decriminalise homosexuality has developed into a celebration of lifestyle through gay pride events and inclusion projects.
There have been sensational cases of men giving birth after transitioning from female. By comparison a womb transplant birth seems relatively normal:
"By making pregnancy potentially available to trans women and even to cis men (with hormone treatments), uterus transplants could challenge social norms and preconceptions, just as IVF has done by creating new family structures."
"Any idea, even a good idea, if taken to an extreme can become a bad idea."
That is something that could be added to Guidance for Schools explaining that family life traditionally has been a heterosexual couple rearing children, something that appears to have been overlooked.

Another smokescreen
![]() |
The conviction of 17 men and one woman in Newcastle in August [2017] restarted the national debate on grooming ( PA ) Source: Independent |
Ms Fox responded: "We should also have the freedom to make judgements and criticise. I believe in religious freedom, absolutely, but only if it comes with a freedom to lampoon, to make fun of."
"She added: 'certain subjects are ring fenced and I do feel that one of the subjects which is ring fenced is an open discussion about a problem of integration'."
Alibi-Brown's interruptions appeared designed to avoid such open discussion as she tried to divert attention to antisemitism. It had a familiar ring.
The furore that has erupted over this relatively trivial story once more provides a smokescreen which obscures far more serious issues such as the longstanding problem of predominately Muslim men regarding young white children as easy meat, as former Home Secretary Jack Straw put it.
Barely reported, and certainly not attracting the moral outrage and indignation as has Boris Johnson's remarks, three men who complained that their human rights had been breached because they may be deported as a result of the decision to remove their British citizenship were told that the decision had been upheld. They had been convicted for grooming and sexually exploiting young girls:
The Independent reported, Rochdale grooming gang members could be deported after judges uphold ruling to strip them of British citizenship
"Three men were among nine men jailed in 2012 after grooming and sexually exploiting young girls. In some cases the girls, aged in their early teens, were raped and pimped out to paying customers in Rochdale and Oldham.
"Each of them challenged the decision, arguing it amounted to a breach of their human rights, but their cases were rejected by both the government’s First Tier Tribunal (FTT) and Upper Tribunal.
"Outlining their offending, Lord Justice Sales said: 'All the men treated the girls as though they were worthless and beyond all respect. They were motivated by lust and greed'.”
From the Independent 8 October 2017: "Grooming gangs across the country are repeating the horrific abuse exposed in Rotherham, Rochdale, Oxford and most recently Newcastle, victims and investigators have warned.
"There are mounting calls for nationwide action to combat sexual exploitation, with authorities accused of playing catch-up after ignoring victims 'for decades and decades'.
One victim who was abused as a teenager by the Rotherham ringleader waived her right to anonymity. She said abuse was underway “all over the country”.
“It’s an issue for every town and city, more people are being failed,” she told The Independent. “I’m hearing a lot of new complaints from survivors.
“Some are saying they have been to the police and didn’t get taken seriously, others are getting support.
“But I think the Government is still trying to play this down and make out it’s not a major issue – they are not doing enough.”
I don't hear the protesters raising their voices in defence of these vulnerable children.
The authorities have become paralyzed over the years for fear of being accused of being Islamophobic, a strategy designed to avoid any constructive criticism of a supremacist ideology.
So much so that too many politicians have joined the Islamophobia chorus with no apparent understanding of the issues involved.
A "Christian MSP", Ruth Davidson, leader of the Scottish Conservatives has suggested we should defend the right of Muslim women to wear the burka in the same way we defend the right of Christians to wear a cross.
God help us!
Postscript [15.08.2018]
"Thirty men and one woman have been charged with offences linked to child sexual exploitation in Huddersfield.
"The offences relate to five women when they were aged between 12 and 18, and are alleged to have taken place between 2005 and 2012.
"Charges those accused face include rape, trafficking and sexual assault.
"Twelve men, who cannot be named for legal reasons, have been charged with "numerous offences in connection with the same investigation", police said."
The above report is from the BBC. There are similar press reports, none of which mentions 'Muslim' or 'Islam' although readers of the reports may infer a link from the frequent appearance of names such as Hussain and Mohammed given the similarity of other cases including the conviction of 17 men and one woman in Newcastle in August 2017.
By contrast a former police Chief Superintendent, one of Britain’s most senior Asian policemen, criticised Boris Johnson for "stating Muslim women wearing burqas 'look like letter boxes' and comparing them to 'bank robbers', are racist and likely to stoke violence against Muslim women."
Since when were Muslims a race?
The former Chief Superintendent would have served the whole community better if he explained what stokes child sexual exploitation and violence towards children among predominately Muslim men of Asian heritage.
Speaking up about more serious matters than attempted humour would be a real step forward.

Consecration of the Bishop of Llandaff
![]() |
The bishop-designate of Llandaff, the Very Rev June Osborne Source: CinW |
Faith? What a load of old cobblers. Faith has long since been abandoned by the Church in Wales in favour of an ideology of relativism. Why the new bishop is to be presented with a copy of the Bible is a mystery unless it is to act as a reminder of when the Church was built on faith.
A graduate in Social Sciences, June Osborne was a founder of the Church’s Leading Women programme. No surprise, then, in the travesty that the Gospel will be read by Bishop Katharine Jefferts Schori, former Presiding Bishop of the Episcopal Church of the USA, the Anglican Communion’s first woman primate and the ruination of the Episcopal Church in the United States.
A portent I wonder?

Westminster - a plea
![]() |
The suspected Westminster attacker being tended by medics Source: Sky News |
The Westminster attack has already triggered the response on BBC Breakfast programme, "This has nothing to do with Muslims".
By contrast with uncorroborated revelations received by Muhammad, Jesus Christ is the fulfilment of eight Old Testament prophesies. The probability of fulfilling all eight prophesies has been calculated as 1 x 1028 or 1 in 10,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000."
The Sky News picture shows the suspected attacker receiving the same medical assistance as his victim would have received. That is because we live in a Christian country. In an Islamic state he would be more likely be tied to the back of a truck and dragged through the streets.
There are regular reports form Pakistan, Egypt and the like about Muslim mobs attacking Christians for no other reason than they are not Muslims. If not attacking Christians they are attacking each other for being the wrong sort of Muslim.
Islam is a supremacist ideology. We must stop making excuses. Instead of saying it has nothing to do with Muslims we should be saying that it has everything to do with Islam and explain why. There is only one way to the Father. If we not believe that, how can we convince others?

He doesn't get it
Javid said that people could not play a "positive role" in British public life unless they accepted basic values which include democracy, equality and freedom of speech. That is true.
That these three basic values are contrary to the ideology of those claiming to be suffering most because they are not allowed to do as they please in their host country appears to have escaped him. Sharia is preferred to democracy, equality is an alien concept and free speech is a one-way vehicle.
There are diverse views within groups as illustrated by the Muslim housemates in the previous entry. Many public servants may be sufficiently relaxed or ill-informed about their faith allowing them to accept the idea of a British values oath. They are not the problem. It is those who are prepared to follow their supremacist ideology to the letter with the promise of salvation if they die in the process.
The idea is well intentioned. It is based an typical British values which requires a sacred Oath to be sworn or an affirmation to be made. If the values expressed in the sacred book of choice are alien to British values the idea is dead before it starts.
What is needed is a proper evaluation of an ideology which expects others to accept that it is a religion of peace but regards any questioning or perceived criticism as Islamophobia.
Better understanding is the key. A comparison with traditional Christian values on which our culture is based is paramount but politicians and religious leaders shrink from the challenge as they ignore the Great Commission and validate other faiths to the detriment of Christianity.

The lesson from Orlando and Magnanville, confront the Islamic ideology
After Orlando there was Magnanville. Two loners with a common cause. The link? Islam. Both killers thought they were doing the work of Allah. So why the reticence? Is it fear, stupidity or apathy?
The man who killed a French police couple at their home near Paris was acting on an order from so-called Islamic State (IS) to "kill infidels". The Orlando killer pledged allegiance to the Islamic State which then claimed responsibility. Does it matter one iota to the slain whether the IS claim was true? The father of the Orlando killer illustrated Islam's attitude to gays when he broadcast a statement that it was for God to punish homosexuals, presumably ignorant of the fact that his son was gay.
Claims and counter claims abounded. In New Zealand their Prime Minister John Key was taken to task because he would not "admit the Orlando attack was a homophobic hate crime". At home gay columnist Owen Jones walked out of a TV debate for a similar reason. His assertion that LGBT people will prevail over Islam is little short of farcical. Of course there are gay Muslims but the penalty for homosexuality in Islam is DEATH.
Continuing their LGBT guilt trip, the Archbishops of Canterbury and York issued a joint statement calling for solidarity with LGBTI people after the attack in Orlando while the Church in Wales offered a prayer composed by the liberal Dean of Southwark.
Only last month the Archbishop of Canterbury told believers not to talk about their faith unless they are asked but clearly there are exceptions. Meanwhile Muslims continue their acts of violence taking authority from the Quran.
One of the most reasoned analysis I have heard so far came from the Rev Peter Ould on Anglican Unscripted in 'Politically Correct Suicide' when he spoke [@7.50] of "not being willing to critically engage with different paradigms, with different philosophies. This unwillingness to say your belief is wrong."
One of the interviewees after the Orlando attack trotted out the usual "Islam is a religion of peace" when clearly it is not based on all the evidence to the contrary. Adding credence to Islamic ideology through silence is not the answer, it must be challenged. A gay Muslim film maker admitted that the Orlando shooting "shows that Islam is 'No Religion of Peace'. Tolerant Muslim leaders say tentacles of Wahhabism have made the claim of peace a joke".
A prominent gay journalist Milo Yiannopoulos wrote in Breitbart: "Remember, the shooter in Orlando was working at G4S and said he wanted to kill all black people. He didn’t get fired. Why? Because he’s Muslim. One was scared. Do they want a world in which Muslims get to do and say whatever they want and these tragedies become common place?" Shades of Rotherham, Rochdale, etc, etc.
If others can see it why can't our spiritual and political leaders? The majority of Muslims are peace loving but their ideology is not. We owe it to them to share the Good News.

"Don’t complain … we’ve all been caricatured here" |
"What do you do if you see someone being mugged on the street? Well, if you’re the Welsh Establishment you just walk on by, and even go back and give the poor man another good kicking just to make sure he’s down."
Yesterday the Daily Wales republished an article about one of the most disgraceful events in the history of the Church in Wales. Under the authority of no less a figure than its own Archbishop, Dr Barry Morgan believed the images published in the Church in Wales’s periodical Y Llan to be so offensive to Muslims that the newsletter was pulped and subscribers asked to return their copies.
Dr Morgan said: "We recalled all the papers, I personally picked up some from some churches and they have all been pulped". He then phoned his Muslim chum making a grovelling apology, presumably forgetting that Jesus Christ, the Son of God is "the way and the truth and the life" and that no one comes to the Father except through Him. Perhaps Dr Morgan is ignorant of the fact that Muslims deny that Christ died for our sins, appeasing the wrath of God and taking it upon himself. Ironically the cartoon can be readily found by Googling the caption. The sorry saga is detailed here.
A letter of 2 Nov 2006 to the Church Times from the Archdeacon of Bangor concerning "a significant factual inaccuracy" can be found here.
As the events in Paris unfolded I was sickened by suggestions that the Charlie Hebdo journalists had somehow brought their slaughter on themselves for publishing material offensive to Muslims. Why should Islam alone be above scrutiny? They are not slow to condemn anyone who does not subscribe to Islam or even to a particular branch of Islam. In the Middle East, Christianity is facing extinction while Islam expands in the West. The link in my previous entry clearly illustrates the plight of non-Muslims in countries where Muslims increase as a percentage of the population. But ignoring all the evidence woolly minded liberals continue to perpetuate the myth that Islam is a religion of peace and accuse questioners of Islamophbia. There is nothing irrational about holding a religious ideology to scrutiny when the dangers are clear for all to see even if most of the atrocities are elsewhere. It is only a question of numbers.
On May 23, 2013, the day after the Woolwich incident in London, in which a British soldier was murdered by two Muslims groomed under Anjem Choudary, the Oxford Union debated the motion that “The House believes that Islam is a religion of peace”. Yes’s: 286 No’s: 168. One of the speakers in support of the motion was the media savvy Mehdi Hasan, political editor of the Huffington Post. His excuses for Islamic excesses are challenged in a follow up posting here. Two prominent people in a position to oppose such a motion, Pamela Geller and Robert Spencer, have been banned by the Home Secretary from entering Britain. Robert Spencer's rebuttal of Mehadi Hasan's claims can be read in full here.
Not all Muslims are terrorists but most terrorists subscribe to the Islamic supremacist ideology which classes Christians and Jews as apes and pigs. Christians and Jews may be offended by such charges but we defend ourselves with the pen, not the sword or AK 47. To subject those who would seek martyrdom using sophisticated weaponry and who find justification in their holy book written by a man considered perfect regardless of his life style is not an irrational fear, it is about the preservation of a civilised society.
Political and religious leaders must do better. There are too many questions. We need answers based on an authoritative, independent study of the facts, not excuses from committed Muslims trapped in their own ideology under threat of death for apostasy. Capitulation is not the answer.
