From Wales Online

"A new mosque and community centre has opened in Swansea. On Friday, Sketty Mosque and Community Centre held its official inauguration ceremony. First Minister of Wales Mark Drakeford presided over the event with guests such as the Lord Lieutenant, the Lord Mayor and other civil and uniformed dignitaries.

"The historic Bethel United Reformed Church has been transformed into the Sketty Mosque and Community Centre. The revitalisation project was funded by £400k raised with the Swansea Muslim community in just three weeks and supplemented by a £300k Community Cohesion matching fund from the Welsh Government."

A far cry from Islamic countries which forbid the building of Christian churches and those countries Where Christianity Is Illegal 2023.

It does not appear to occur to some people that their presence is sharing in a political ideology that is responsible for the persecution of Christians and many atrocities around the world in the name of Islam.

In April 2023 Release International reported on Nigeria's Growing Christian Genocide:

"Since 2009, 52,250 Christians have been killed by jihadists, including Boko Haram and Fulani militants. According to Intersociety, militants have attacked:

18,000 churches
2,200 Christian schools
800 Christian communities

[The report] claims: ‘The number of Christians killed in the country… between July 2009 and April 2023 has risen to 52,250 [and] 14m Christians have been uprooted and forced to flee their homes.

[It] adds, ‘No fewer than 800 Christian communities have been seized or taken over; with many of them renamed and Islamised by the Jihadists since 2009’."

For a first hand account of the misery people face in Nigeria simply for being a Christian read how Mary Finds Peace After Escaping Kidnappers

In Pakistan blasphemy laws carry a potential death sentence for anyone who insults Islam. "Critics say they have been used to persecute minority faiths and unfairly target minorities."

Read Christian nurse Tabitha Nazir Gill's account after escaping 'perilous danger' in Pakistan over blasphemy charges. "She was accused of insulting the prophet of Islam, breaking 295C of the Pakistan Penal Code, which carries the death sentence."

Much more is reported almost daily. See here and here.

While Christianity wanes in Great Britain cultural jihad is allowed to spread Islamic culture, often with the aid of the Anglican Church whose bishops are preoccupied in feminist diversity.

Defender of the Faith

The Tablet reports that King Charles III recently heard testimony of a Catholic priest who escaped 'abduction and death threats' in his native Nigeria from where there are regular reports of abduction and killings.

Googling 'abduction and death threats in Nigeria' immediately delivers Christian Student Running from Death Threats in Nigeria. There are links to other stories of persecution, particularly of Christians. Muslim militants who perpetrate these atrocities are often referred to as ‘bandits’, much like those found guilty of the sexual exploitation of 1400 children in the Rotherham from 1997 to 2013 were described as of Asian or Pakistani origin.

It is surprising, therefore, to read again that whilst King Charles III is due to inherit the title ‘Defender of the Faith’, a clause will be added to his coronation oath in order to recognise that he serves all religious faiths and not just the Church of England.

No purpose can be served by inserting a clause to ‘reflect modern, multicultural Britain’ if it embraces an ideology that is capable of creating so much misery for so many.

Charles has already sworn an oath as Defender of the Faith when he was formally proclaimed King Charles III in September.

Despite the confusion spread by woke bishops the faith of the Church of England is the Christian faith which teaches that there is only one way to the Father.

Either we believe that or we do not.

Fulani Militants Destroy Church, Kidnap Seven from Southern Kaduna

In Three Years Fulani Militias Killed 2,539 People in 654 Attacks in Nigeria. Source: News Express

"08/31/2020 Nigeria  – On August 24, Fulani militants conducted another attack on a Christian village in Southern Kaduna State, Nigeria. According to a report by Morningstar News, more than 20 herdsmen rode motorcycles into Damba Kasaya village, Kaduna state at about 8 a.m. that morning. During the attack, they killed a 35-year-old man named Benjamin Auta. They also kidnapped four students and one teacher from the Prince Academy, a small school. The final two were local farmers who have been missing since the attack. The four students who were taken, were all under the age of 18 and three of them were girls.

"Southern Kaduna has seen a lot of increased violence this year. According to the Southern Kaduna People’s Union, more than 50,000 Christians have been displaced from over 100 Christian villages in Southern Kaduna. These villages are mainly located in the counties of Kachia, Kajuru, Kaura and Chikun. The ongoing attacks have greatly affected the population of Southern Kaduna, which is where the vast majority of Christians live in this Sharia state. This is also the only area of that state that is so greatly affected by Fulani militant attacks. Please continue praying for the safety and security of our brothers and sisters in Kaduna State, Nigeria. They are often attacked, and their state federal government have greatly failed to protect them."

Earlier in August Nigeria's News Express reported that within three years more than 2,539 people had been killed, 393 wounded, 253 kidnapped, 16 raped, more than 7, 582 houses burnt and 24 churches destroyed in 654 attacks carried out by Fulani Militias, Nigeria’s most lethal group.

In response to a report co-authored by The International Organisation for Peace Building and Social Justice (PSJ UK), the International Committee on Nigeria (ICON) and the International Freedom of Religion or Belief All Party Parliamentary Group (APPG), UK's Express described the situation as ‘Intolerable’ after it was claimed that 100,000 Christians had been murdered for their faith in Nigeria in the first two decades of this century.

"According to the report  43,242 of the Christian deaths as a result of the terrorism inflicted by Boko Haram, Islamic State, ISWAP and Al-Queda; 18,834 as a result of the terrorism inflicted by Fulani Militant Extremists; and 34,233 as a result of the terrorism inflicted by all other actors."

Lord Alton of Liverpool a vice chair of the APPG said: “Some local observers have gone so far as to describe the rising attacks as a campaign of ethno-religious cleansing.

Compared with the outpouring of grief over the 51 lives lost in the Christchurch mosque shootings the media's response has been extremely muted.

African lives matter too.

The 'religion of peace' in Nigeria

Fulani herdsmen have massacred thousands of Christians in Nigeria. Source: Christian Today

" Christians are being deliberately targeted and massacred by the Islamist gunmen, some of which have links reaching through to Islamic State.

'These attacks started in 2010, when some Fulani gunman invaded a village in Plateau State and sacked the whole community and killed about 500 people – children, women and men – in one night.

'Usually what they do is come into a commmunity in the night while  people are sleeping. A few of the gunmen go into the centre of the village and begin to shoot sporadically. When people wake up they are rounded up, and people who try and run away are killed because they have gunmen stationed on the outskirts of the village.'

'The persecution has increased. Three years ago the Fulani moved on to the southern part of Kaduna State, a largely Christian area, where they were attacking commmunities on an almost daily basis.

'The only explanation we can give is that it is a kind of ethno-religious cleansing. I am not sure of the total, but in southern Kaduna more than 800 people were killed in 2016 alone. The total number would run to 2,000 or more. The Fulani kill the people, loot their homes then set the whole place ablaze.

'Nmadu, who is also General Secretary of one of northern Nigeria's largest churches, the Evangelical Church Winning All, said: 'We have learned they have some connection with Boko Haram, and there are links between Boko Haram and Islamic State.'

'He urged the church worldwide to pray 'that God will embolden us to face the challenges that we have on a daily basis'."

The Church in Northern Nigeria - crushed but not defeated - as in Great Britain, for now

The impact of persistent violence on the Church in Northern Nigeria has been highlighted in a report by Open Doors. You can read the Report here.

The research shows that decades of targeted religious violence has had an even larger impact on the Church in Northern Nigeria than previously expected. The violence against Christians in the region has resulted in thousands of people killed, including between 9,000 to 11,500 Christians – a conservative estimation according to this report. A large number of Christian properties have been destroyed, including 13,000 churches that have either been destroyed or closed down.

According to the report, over a million Christians in Northern Nigeria have become internally displaced or have settled in other areas of Nigeria in search of safety and security.

"More Anglicans die at the hands of Boko Haram than all Christians in Middle East" says the Rt. Rev. Jacob Kwashi, Bishop of Zonkwa, in northern Nigeria in a Virtue Online interview.

Also in the interview, "GAFCON Primates say they will not accept gifts from TEC [The Episcopal Church] or TWS [Trinity Wall Street] to be turned on [the] Gay Issue. In three years, Welby will be forced to take a stand, or watch as [the] Communion splits".

There are more than 20 million Nigerian Anglicans. Meanwhile the comparatively small Anglican Church in the West faces defeat from within as the chipping away of faith and tradition continues and the secular agenda intensifies.

How ironic that the centre of Anglicanism has become the source of its own destruction.

Another 'stunning success' for the religion of peace

Photo: AFP

Stunning is the word. A farmer in Nigeria located the bodies of two of his sons: a 10-year-old who had been shot in the back as he apparently attempted to escape the fire and a 12-year-old who had taken a bullet to the chest. He said, "That's it, I'm taking my other boys out of school”.  He has three younger children who study nearby. “It's not safe”, he said. “The gunmen are attacking schools and there is no protection for students despite all the soldiers”.  Another 'success' for the religion of peace.

Just part of a report [here] of another school massacre in Nigeria where 41 children were killed, some burned alive: "Militants arrived on the scene with vessels carrying large quantities of fuel which they used to torch the building. Those who tried to flee the burning wreckage were shot" the survivors said. The report continues: The attack on the Government Secondary School in Mamudo town in the northeastern Yobe state is the latest in a series of militant attacks targeting children. The area has been targeted by the Boko Haram militant group repeatedly. The sect’s name means Western education is sacrilege or  sinful. Since 2010 "dozens of schools have been torched and over 1,600 victims murdered by extremists across the country".

How many more excuses can there be for turning a blind eye to these outrages in the name of religion? Recently the Home Secretary banned two speakers from the United States from entering the UK to explain that however peaceful Muslims may appear, the basis of their faith is the same as that which is used to massacre these innocent children. What can a child know of politics? They want only to be loved. Even if right were on the side of the Islamists, which it cannot be when it entails violence, what possible excuse can there be for killing innocent children with fire and bullets or anything else for that matter? There is none. If Western education (freedom of thought) were sinful, innocent children can know nothing of it.

Christ called little children to Himself without hindrance. Spot the difference Home Secretary?

Woolwich response: Deceptive, stupid or just plain ignorant?

A Baghdad church. More 'religion of peace' images here

It is entirely understandable that the authorities would want to avoid a backlash after the random, callous murder of an innocent British soldier in Woolwich. Less understandable is the response of the Prime Minister who defended Islam saying that it was "a betrayal of Islam" and "there is nothing in Islam that justifies this truly dreadful act" while his Deputy quoted from the Koran in apparent ignorance that one verse can be abrogated by another or another verse used as justification for acts of terror: [Remember] when your Lord inspired to the angels, "I am with you, so strengthen those who have believed. I will cast terror into the hearts of those who disbelieved, so strike [them] upon the necks and strike from them every fingertip." [8:12]. Clegg said that the unspeakable act “flies in the face of the peace and love that Islam teaches” as he paid special tribute to London's Muslim community. Is he blind to what is happening around the world? Where is that 'peace and love' in Muslim dominated countries where Christians are leaving in droves in fear of their lives and their churches razed to the ground?

Recent census figures clearly illustrate that Christianity in this country is on the wane while Islam is increasing rapidly, particularly among the young, giving rise to the prediction: “In another 20 years there are going to be more active Muslims than there are churchgoers”. The unwarranted glorification of Islam as the 'religion of peace' helps to validate a supremacist ideology encouraging more people to assume that there is nothing to fear from Islam, contrary to evidence worldwide. The perpetrators of the latest atrocity are believed to be of Nigerian descent, a country ravaged by Islamism. All should be aware of what is happening in Nigeria. Read  The Supremacist's Ideology Of Islam which explains 'ISLAM’S CLAIM FOR PEACE'.

Attempts to separate religion from its Islamist ideology are futile because the ideology dictates a way of life which elevates Muslims above Christians and Jews which has already resulted in the 'cleansing' of Islamic countries. If Messrs Cameron and Clegg are ignorant of this process around the world there is plenty of evidence available. They could start here by reading 'Islam and Extremism: What is Underneath' after picking up the basic differences between Islam and other religions here

With fear of possible reprisals it is not surprising that Muslims have gone to great lengths to distance themselves from this atrocity. Westernised Muslims may indeed be sincere in their condemnation but their motives can never be guaranteed because their religion sanctions dishonesty, taqiyya, in defense of Islam.

The victim card is already being played, even in Cairo [herewhere the persecution of Coptic Christians in Egypt is well documented. Conscious of requests for calm I effectively imposed self censorship in pondering whether to make this entry but the more I read the more absurd our position has become in making Islam untouchable at the expense of Chritianity in a supposedly Christian country. It is being defended as a sacred religion of peace enabling Islamism to gain ground because people are not given the full facts and accused of Islamophobia for daring to raise legitimate questions. In an article for the Observer Dr Matthew Goodwin, an associate professor at the University of Nottingham who advises the government on tackling race hatred wrote:

"Many have suggested that the events in Woolwich have fuelled a wave of public hostility towards British Muslims and Islam more generally. But our findings, based on a YouGov survey undertaken within 24 hours of the attack, suggest that the picture is both more complex and more positive.

First, we find some evidence to suggest that, in the aftermath of these tragic events, Britons were more likely to think positively about community relations. There are some challenging results, such as the finding that the number of citizens who think that conflict between groups is "largely inevitable" has risen by seven points to 40%, or that agreement with the suggestion that there will be a serious clash between British Muslims
and white Britons has also risen, by nine points to 59%. But these buck the broader trend.

Compared with last year, when we ran the same survey, people are now either just as
likely, or more likely, to endorse a series of more positive statements: that Muslims are compatible with the national way of life; are good citizens; make important contributions to society; and share British culture and values." [My emphasis - Ed.]

A measured response is essential but it is a grave error of judgement to take a head-in-the-sand view that Islam can be judged by Christian standards. If it is a 'religion of peace' why are there so many conflicts around the world involving Muslims? The fact the Muslims are fighting other Muslims is not an excuse for turning a blind eye to the threat. The Government has been busily discarding Christian values creating a spiritual vacuum that on current trends will be filled by Islam, an ideology that justifies not only the oppression of non-believers but death for apostasy. This is a dangerous strategy. Compare the statement at the end of the previous paragraph with this statement taken from the link at the end of the second paragraph:

"Even though Muslims claim their religion preaches peace, a critical observation shows that this is far from the truth.
As long as a Muslim population in a given area, community or Country is below 2%, they regard themselves as a peace-loving people who do not pose a threat to other citizens.
At 2%-5% Muslims begin to proselytize other disaffected ethnic minorities and groups often recruiting from the jails and street gangs. This is the case in about 5 Countries as you can see.

COUNTRY / MUSLIM %

Denmark / 2%

Germany / 3.7%

United Kingdom / 2.7%

Spain / 4%

Thailand / 4.6%"

Not only Government Ministers but religious leaders are following the line that such acts as witnessed in Woolwich have no place in Islam but the leadership of the church today has more to do with politics than defending Christian orthodoxy. By adding their validation of a religious ideology that seeks our extinction what hope can there be? Even if Islamist violence were not the reality that it is, Christians are supposed to believe that there is only one way to the Father and that is through Christ. If we lose that conviction we are already lost to the so-called 'religion of peace' under Islam.

Perhaps there is some comfort in getting old after all - but what of our children and our children's children? If this pretence continues it will be too late to turn the tide. We need honesty based on world wide evidence, not blinkered denial. Ignoring legitimate concerns serves only to encourage rather than discourage elements in society looking for an excuse to take matters into their own hands. That must be avoided. Honesty must be the best policy.

It is finished

"Father, forgive them; for they do not know what they are doing." And they cast lots, dividing up His garments among themselves.

The Church of England has been reminded in various Synod debates this week that the timeless faith of believers has little relevance in their 21st Century church. Weighed down by complexities of their own making designed to appeal to those with imported beliefs or none at all, they cast their votes leaving the Lord's disciples to make of it what they will with no hint of thought or compassion.

'Give me the child...I'll give you the man' was the cry of old but the male role model, already whittled away in primary education, is declining in the Anglican church along with attendance while the influence of the Anglican Church wanes. Sexuality over reason has seen Christian marriage devalued to the level of a political ball game which takes all and gives nothing with the implication that there must be something seriously wrong with people who share spiritual values beyond current
flights of fancy. Who cares? Those men and women of conscience who do so are characterised as misogynistic bigots. They are forced to defend themselves against false accusations of discrimination clearly designed to appeal to secularists who see no place in society for a church that shaped our history; people who are content to see mosques replace our churches in the misguided belief that Islam is, as one commentator put it, just another 'Old Testament religion' or an Arabic version of the Bible. Traditional Christian values are being destroyed. The extremists who occupy our church insist that they are being generous as they strangle the life out of all who oppose them. They show utter contempt for those who do not share their distorted values and reward those who have shown them generosity by excluding them from the church they now see as their own.

The women at the cross stood weeping under Christ's broken Body as His garments were divided. In today's Anglican Church they simply divide His garments among themselves.

Church of England general synod debates female bishops - day three live @17.58. Riazat Butt thanks God she is a Muslim. Here is what she had to say:

"Wow. OK. Well, in true Anglican fashion we are almost back to square one. General synod has voted to allow the House of Bishops to tinker with the legislation but not make substantial changes to it. As one person in the chamber said, it's as if the debate never happened. The traditionalists have this to say:

"We welcome the fact the general synod is open to the possibility of the House of Bishops amending the draft measure, and call upon the house to do so in a way that will provide properly for those unable in conscience to accept the oversight of women bishops. The archbishops' amendment is a long way from our original proposals for provision; what we are saying is that we are willing to work with it, or something like it, for the sake of the unity of the church. We are hugely grateful to Archdeacon Cherry Vann for moving the Manchester motion; she has shown great understanding, courage, conviction and love – love for God and for God's people. We give thanks to God for Archdeacon Cherry, and assure the House of Bishops of our prayers as they discern the right way forward for the Church of England."

Initial reaction from the pro-women lobby is that they are happy because they know the bishops can't dramatically change the draft law. They're not going to see a different law, that's over and that's what they wanted to avoid. It's all baffling. Thank God I'm a Muslim."

So not dead yet! Despite the eagerness of supporters of women's ordination to move directly to a vote without amendment amid the usual claims of discrimination, two-tier ministries and second class-bishops, the more charitable struggle on to find a compromise that is in some way acceptable to people who don't interpret 'generous' in the same way as those who advocate a 'take it or leave it' approach. On my hearing there may have been a hint of sarcasm in the suggestion that the Rev Prebendary David Houlding had been thrown a lifebelt but nevertheless that imagery is captured superbly in the picture above. As they consider the next stage, those on both sides of the divide would do well to read the narrative that goes with it here and recall Archbishop Rowan's words in an earlier passionate debate on Recent violence in Nigeria when he referred to the desperate feeling of isolation experienced by persecuted Christians in Nigeria. They are not alone.

The "Religion of Peace" (2)

The latest estimate of deaths resulting from bombings by Islamists in Nigeria has risen to 162. Where is the condemnation from Muslims who keep telling us that Islam is a religion of peace. Where are the voices which are quick to cry "Islamophobia!" at every opportunity in furtherance of their Islamist ideology? For those who have taken the trouble to check Islamist claims rather than accept them at face value it is clear that the 'religion of peace' means that there will be "peace" when Islam prevails, that is, on their terms only. Check it out on video here, or here for a more comprehensive explanation, and read about peace, the 'Christmas spirit and Islam' here.
