"Anything you can do I can do better..."

Four of the first female Eagle Scouts, from left to right: Lauren Krimm, Mia Dawbin,
Valerie Johnston and Ysa Duenas.                                                      Source: Twitter

(CNN) Valerie Johnston knew she wanted to be a Boy Scout since she was 6. "I always wanted to be able to earn everything that my brother and all his friends were earning," Johnston told CNN. "I had my own book, and I would check off the requirements and everything, so I would wonder like, 'Well why can't I earn these?'"

In 2011 it was reported that more girls than boys became scouts in the past year - the first time this has happened in the movement's history.

When girls were asked about admitting boys they said they wanted "Girlguiding to still be just for girls. So no boys allowed!"

The Girlguiding organisation invites parents to 'register their daughters' but Girlguiding is trans-inclusive.

This drew a 'furious response' on mumsnet with 507 messages. The first reads:

"Sorry for DM link but this is important. Brownies and Guides are going to admit boys if they identify as girls. Girls will have to share 'single sex' facilities including tents & changing rooms with them. Parents won't be told. Oh, and men who identify as women can become Brownie & Guide leaders, where they will get to supervise girls in those tents, changing rooms etc.

"How is this possible? There is an epidemic of sexual abuse. We are still in the fall-out of Rotherham, Saville etc yet we are enabling men to have access to every safe space for girls. AIBU?" [Am I being unreasonable?]

Writing about the passage of the "(In)Equality Act'" through the US House of Representatives in Virtueonline the "So-Called 'Equality Act'" is described as 'The Most Dangerous Bill of Our Time':

"It will affect every aspect of human existence from cradle to grave...No area of existence in this life will be free from the reach of its tentacles... The key point to recognize about the bill is that it will codify into law that you are a bigot, the moral equivalent of a racist. Read the full article here.

Here in Great Britain misogyny is to be treated as a hate crime. As Archbishop Cranmer wrote in his blog: "Misogyny is to be outlawed. Excellent. Now, what does it mean?" Read his opinion here.

Opponents of the ordination of women have often been accused of misogyny even though many opponents are women and married men.

'Misogyny'  and 'discrimination' are frequent accusations from feminists in response to genuine theological disagreement, using secular criteria to appeal to society.

But the Church is losing her influence. Wales Humanists are celebrating what they describe as a "major development for secularism in Wales" after the Welsh Parliament (Senedd Cymru) passed a bill that "officially includes humanism in the school curriculum of all public schools in Wales."

Wales Online reports: Traditional boundaries between subjects are scrapped and there will be instead six new areas of learning and experience (AoLEs). Mandatory in the new curriculum will be "Religion, values, and ethics" and "Relationships and sexuality education".

Formal RE lessons will be scrapped and replaced with “religion, values and ethics” so humanism will be given the same importance as Christianity and Islam.

In Canada a father has been arrested for “misgendering” his own 14-year-old child by calling her his “daughter,” and referring to her with the pronouns “she” and “her.”

The father had "previously discovered that his daughter’s school had been showing her sexual and gender identity education materials known as “SOGI 123,” which the report referred to as transgender 'propaganda videos'.

"By the 7th grade, the school had changed his daughter’s name in the yearbook without telling her parents, and “socially transitioned” her with the input of gender ideologue psychologist Wallace Wong, who advised the pubescent child to take testosterone."

World Pride Power List 2013

A Guardian Supplement today lists the 100 most influential LGBT people in 2013. No doubt they wouldn't care less but to be honest I have never heard of most of them. Some of those I had heard of, I didn't know were gay but that is as it should be. We don't go around proclaiming people's heterosexuality so why should we celebrate homosexuality? We should like and respect people for who they are without labels although it becomes difficult when it comes to what some do. I don't mean in privacy but in public. As in the Stonewall advert on the front page of the Guardian Supplement which says: "Say 'I do' to equal marriage". This is a complete distortion designed to bend public opinion by the misuse of the word equality in their determination to redefine marriage.

The tyranny of minorities has become a complete pain. In another Guardian story 'Scotland's first minister, Alex Salmond, will boycott this year's Open golf championship in protest at the host club Muirfield's men-only membership policy'. Good. At least people will be spared his endless prattle about Scottish independence, another minority interest to the detriment of the majority. What is wrong with 'all male' when 'all female' and in between is acceptable? Normally I would quote the all female Girl Guides compared with the any sex Boy Scouts as a good example although even the Guides are now failing to live up to their original promise!

But back to the subject. The vocal Chris Bryant MP must be gutted to find himself listed at a mere 34 when his same-sex marriage campaign has dominated politics, helping to push the real problem of the state of the economy out of peoples' minds. And one must surely feel for Ben Bradshaw at a paltry 62 but it could have been worse!

At least WATCH should be heartened. From a quick count the list appears to have a sense of parity about it. What could be more important this Petertide when many more women will be celebrating their victory over the church, or should I say Petratide!

Godless Guides?

The Queen and Princess Margaret.

"I promise that I will do my best, to love my God, to serve the Queen and my country, to help other people and to keep the Guide Law."

A story in the Telegraph just about sums up the absurdity of life in Britain today especially for Christians. Because a girl "felt unable to take part in her Brownies enrolment in north Somerset due to the religious content of the Promise" the Girl Guides Association is reported to be considering reviewing the wording of its affirmation for new members, to remove religious references. What next? Immigrants and secularists objecting to Her Majesty the Queen being "Defender of the Faith"?

Baden-Powell must be turning in his grave. The Guide Promise has already been amended from 'To do my duty to God' to 'To love my God', in order to accommodate different faiths leaving secularists free to have a stab at changing the foundation of Guiding again but oddly, not Scouting which retains the original Promise. Give them time! The Scouts are now a mix of boy scouts and girl scouts although the Girl Guides remain exclusively sexist reflecting what has happened in the rest of society. Thanks to that enemy of democracy, political correctness, we no longer have the heroine, actress, headmaster or chairman but curiously we still have the Baroness.

For many in today's eunuch led liberal church, belief in the one true God has become an optional extra but belief in one God means just that. As Christians we should be above the political correctness that implies the legitimacy of other faiths. People may believe what they want in a free country but tolerance has been perverted to allow our Christian heritage to be eroded by do-gooders who have nothing to offer other than a suffocating desire to impose their bland sterility on Christians. Much of this is a consequence of  the feminist campaign for the ordination of women which has resulted in the spiritual decline of the Episcopal Church in America and continues to emasculate the Church of England as WATCH and GRAS demand their own way here.

"On my honour, I promise that I will do my best
To do my duty to God and to the Queen,
To help other people
And to keep the Scout Law"

Scouts of my generation felt 'honour' bound to keep their 'promise', two words that the new breed of Anglicans in the churches of England and Wales have consigned to the PC dustbin only to be replaced by deception
