Pondering Pastor: what a year of revelation - thank you ancient Briton for your Stirling blogging. Perhaps due to your efforts rewards may come forth as 2018 begins. It has been a real treat to learn the inner workings of the C in W. Long may the blog be read for its in part humourous and sometimes dark night of the soul contributions. I'm sure there will be many twists and turns in the year ahead. Draining the swamp a good start. Joyous Christmas and eventful New Year PP.

On a festive note, dear readers, I've come to prefer a traditional roast goose over the usual turkey. Another alternative is to cook a fine capon: here are two recipes I've used in the past:

Either can be highly recommended. I'd take roast capon over a tired old turkey any day!
