First Minister of Wales Eluned Morgan Source: Pembrokeshire Herald |
Today is the feast of The Transfiguration, the same day that Eluned Morgan has been voted in as Wales’ first female First Minister following the resignation of Vaughan Gething after four months of turmoil.
After the eccentricities of Mark Drakeford and the poor judgement of his successor the people of Wales will be hoping for a Welsh government transfiguration.
Despite devolution the Health Service in Wales has crumbled.
Paying into the NHS throughout their working lives, long waiting lists for hospital treatment are forcing the elderly, particularly, to spend their savings on private treatment to avoid living out their retirement in pain.
The First Minister will need a miracle worker to sort out the mess. We wish her well. The task is not an enviable one.
She was hopeless as the minister for health and she's going to be equally useless as the first minister.
ReplyDeleteThe assembly deserves to be scrapped not more snouts added to the trough.
One comment in response to this news about a new Welsh First Minister is just marginally less than the number of folk who bothered to vote at the mad-cap Referendum. And even of that low turnout, the 'Yes' lot only scraped it through. Pity the Welsh Assembly doesn't hear the voice of the people today ... they'd be booted out.
DeleteThey aren't listening.
DeleteHer Ladyship, Baroness Morgan of Ely, (so beloved of Barry Morgan ), is on record as saying she would renounce her title if she were ever to become First Minister of Wales. We await her announcement.
ReplyDeleteSir Omicron Pi.
Maybe she’s changed her mind. Wouldn’t be the end of the world would it? She’s well liked by a lot of people.
DeleteChristopher
She's well despised by a lot more.
DeleteI didn’t think we despised our brothers and sisters in Christ.
DeleteJanice
Would that make her Baronless Morgan?
DeleteHear, hear Janice
ReplyDeleteBut this forum is made up of some rather nasty and bitter so called Christians, who, as much as they would never admit it, and often accuse others of doing so, like to pick and choose what they believe in…
Truth
I'll hazard a guess the vast majority of Ancient Briton's contributors know exactly what it is in which they believe and it isn't the queered distorted theology being peddled by the chocolate teapot and Welby.
DeleteAnyone who subscribes to that drivel isn't a brother or sister in Christ but a disciple of Stonewall.
Rather than repent they prefer to go on full steam ahead and take as many others with them as they can.

You're exactly right, especially if the scumbag Labour councillor Ricky Jones (you know, the one inciting multiple murders of "fascists" by slitting their throats, Halal style) gets his way .
DeleteShowing his true colours and those of the religion of peace.

DeleteLike this fine upstanding example of moderate Liebour kinder politics?
Bewildered
Jones has been arrested and remains in custody on "suspicion of encouragement to murder".
DeleteHow it is merely "suspicion", when he's been recorded shouting it out in front of hundreds of witnesses, beggars belief.
And "murder" (singular) when he clearly states "throats" (plural) likewise.
Now let's see what Plod does about the dozens cheering his calls to murder, especially the wretched woman with short hair (militant lesbian perhaps?) wearing the Amnesty International tabard.
Face recognition technology should be able to identify most of them, unless it's two-tier-Keir software that only recognises hard-right white fascists?
You wouldn't know the Truth if it kicked you in your bonus hole.
DeleteNot all here claim to be christians.

ReplyDeleteAnother cautionary tale for any confused "Trans" fool seeking radical surgery as the answer to their delusions.
This sort of nonsense should not be funded by the NHS.
