Exclusion!

Source: 'X' (formerly Twitter)

From OneBodyOneFaith - 'Empowering LGBT+ Christians; advocating for change':

"With the Bishops in the Church in Wales, we are organising the second national memorial service to remember and commemorate all LGBT+ people who have lost their lives to suicide or experienced harm following exclusion from Christian faith communities."

Suicide is a tragedy not confined to LGBT+ people. Nor is exclusion.

When will the Church in Wales do something for the many faithful Anglicans who are excluded for keeping the faith?

  1. Hardly surprising or anything new in Llandaff, the place has been run by deviants for deviants for years.

  2. 'Lost their lives to suicide or experienced harm following exclusion from Christian faith communities'?? How ridiculous.
Perhaps the predominantly gay senior clergy at Llandaff can enlighten us, producing a dossier of examples of where, when and in what way such exclusion has been seen, starting with their own examples?

    1. The Bible tells us a man should not lie with another man as a woman, so, the Bible is instructing us not to engage in homosexuality. As far as I am aware all clergy upon Ordination swear to uphold the teachings of the Bible. If we now have clerics of either gender within the Church in Wales who wish to engage in homosexuality the path is straight forward, resign. Homosexuals who wish to remain so should, in my opinion, form a new avenue of faith and have their own Bible with certain verses removed.

    2. But but but, the deviant hypocrites don't want to forego either their Deaneries or their husbands, much less their church salaries, holidays or pensions.

Spineless woke Archbishops dabbling in politics yet again.
Time for the moribund Church of England to be disestablished and then defined as an extremist organisation.

  7. The Llandaff fiasco is of course just another excuse and nonsense to enable the Gays to strut their stuff in some rather pathetic weeping that they are misunderstood, unloved and therefore prone to suicide ... or rather attention seeking.

If the C-in-W were genuine in their concerns for those at risk of self-harm, depression and suicide it ought focus its attentions on the far larger flock of Wales's farming and agri-based communities where the suicide rate is quite shocking. Or perhaps farmers are simply too macho, too grown-up, too down-to-earth sensible for our Pansy clergy to be able to talk with far less understand. So much for the 'good shepherd' guff.

Curiously it seems that in most of rural Wales (which is almost the whole) the Methodists appear to have a good handle on this occupational sector. I have yet to meet a cross-dressing Trans Methodist Minister. Those who might have been have crossed over to the Anglican church.

  10. Odd isn't it. In its latest monthly web-blog announcing all its 'joyous' news and wonderful up-coming events Llandaff (diocese and cathedral and Bishop Mary) make no mention whatsoever of the odd-ball event mentioned above. Are they embarrassed by it? Or as Ad Clerum has noted, they might be fearing their LGBT Memorial Service being ruined by Welsh farmers blockading the cathedral with muck-spreaders and silage slurry in protest that the Church has failed them while 'bending over backwards' to the Gays.

    Who knows.

  11. `In the Bible, leaven is almost always symbolic of sin. Like leaven that permeates the whole lump of dough, sin will spread in a person, a church, or a nation, eventually overwhelming and bringing its participants into its bondage and eventually to death (Galatians 5:9). Romans 6:23 tell us that “the wages of sin is death,” which is God’s judgment for sin, and this is the reason that Christ died—to provide a way out of this judgment for sin if man will repent of his sins, accept Christ as his Passover sacrifice, and have his heart changed so that he can conform his life to what God commands.`

  13. Here we go again. The Diocese of Bangor, its Secret Society and inability to be honest with congregants about the whereabouts of its absent clergy. It has yet to disclose circumstances surrounding the white-washing of the Venerable Andrew Jones's quitting as archdeacon and parish priest and others who have disappeared Putin-like from the almanac.

Now the intrique regarding the whereabouts of the unpopular sub-dean of Bangor Cathedral Sion ap Rhys-Evans and his absence from St Deiniol's and all other duties for at least five weeks. Not even cathedral clergy have been given reason except that he is on undetermined and unscheduled 'leave' which - rumour has it - is being spent hidden away behind drawn curtains in his rambling Deanery.

So that's two LGBT-leaning Deans 'down' in Wales. Bangor and Llandaff and with two previous Bangor deans sacked by the hapless 'Andy' it makes one wonder if there's a problem ... or whether perhaps Andy himself is the problem.

Still, His Grace the failed archbishop is due to preach from ap Rhys's pulpit next Sunday so might use the opportunity to be honest with congregants and cathedral clergy who are equally being kept in the dark. There must surely be some plausible reason for this priest's 'exeat' (in ecclesiastical meaning).

That said, it's rumoured that the post-communion wine served at the end of the service in Bangor on Sunday had a sweeter palate when word spread of ap-Rhys's 'exeat'. Surely he's not sulking having been told that his subordinate priest, David Morris, had been appointed over his head to Assist. Bishop of Bangor??

    1. My mole in the parish vestry informs that the sub-dean of Bangor hasn't just vacated his Deanery, pulled up the shutters and departed Bangor completely with local clergy still in why, where, what questions unanswered. No sightings on any flights to Rome either. Investors in Marks & Spencer (Bangor) should watch their shareprices carefully as apparently sales of wine have plummeted since his 'self confinement'.
