Don't mention The Sword

French Lieutenant Colonel Arnaud Beltrame has died of his wounds after a jihadist shooting spree.

He was shot by an Islamic terrorist after swapping himself for a hostage in a rampage and siege by an attacker who stormed a supermarket and fired at shoppers and staff in the town of Trebes. The attacker claimed allegiance to the Islamic State group

One more killer in a campaign of Islamic violence which has lasted 1,400 years but only yesterday a judge followed political leaders in describing Islam as a religion of peace despite all the evidence to the contrary.

In answer to a Commons question by Jeremy Corbyn after the horrendous terror attack in Paris in 2015 that killed at least 130 people and wounded hundreds, David Cameron told the House that there was no connection between terrorists and Islam and we need to prove it.

We are still waiting. A list of Islamist terrorist attacks before and after can be found on Wikipedia

Parsons Green bomber Ahmed Hassan was jailed for life with minimum term of 34 years for his terror attack. He was told by the judge that he had "violated the Quran and Islam" with his actions, as well as the law of all civilised people.

Mr Justice Haddon-Cave said the Quran was a “book of peace” and noted its teachings forbidding terrorism and crime, adding: “You will have plenty of time to study the Quran in prison in the years to come.”

There are 149 sword verses in the Quran. Perhaps to mention them would be the "Islamophobia" Jeremy Corbyn had in mind when he put his question to David Cameron.

  1. Another poor hero falls because of a gutless church and state that won’t admit that Islam is our #1 danger. May he go swiftly to his eternal reward. God be with his loved ones.

  2. Facts and figures: August 10, 2017 (LifeSiteNews) -- Historian Arnold Toynbee once famously said that “civilizations die from suicide, not by murder.”

Using this as a springboard, commentator Mark Steyn shows in a new video how Western Europe is already in the death throes of “demographic suicide” because couples are no longer having enough children. He then shows how a thriving Muslim population in Western Europe is well on its way to filling all the empty space.

Steyn explained how given the divergent birth rate between Muslims and post-Christian secularists, it will take only two generations for the current Muslim population (sitting at about 10-percent) to have as many grandchildren as post-Christian secularists (who currently make up the other 90 percent). This is due, he said, to Muslims having on average 3.5 children per couple compared to post-Christian secularists who have only 1.3 children per couple.

  3. For example: by mid-century a majority of Austrians under the age of 15 will be Muslim.

This in a country that not so long ago was 90 percent Catholic.

Many think of Austria as the setting for the film Sound of Music about a large family that fled the country in 1938 in the face of a Nazi takeover. Mark Steyn says that by 2038, Austrians will no longer be singing “how do you solve a problem like Maria,” but “how do you solve a problem like Sharia.”

Countering extremism: Jihadist ideology reigns supreme
    by Editor
James Dorsey says although the security approach to Islamic terrorism has enhanced security across the globe, an ideological response to the phenomenon is still lacking, as are meaningful policies to tackle its root causes.

  5. The ideological response to Islamism is the Gospel of Jesus Christ as it is Western Secularism. If only we could preach it and live it as the saints of old.....

I guess the price they were willing to pay is just too much.

    1. What else do you expect Whamab? The Pharisee of Canterbury, having now surpassing his mentor ,to whom he owes a professional debt, is a perfect example that Anglican Catholics and evangelicals live in bright lit mansions. On Palm Sunday Christ stood up to corruption and denial . The controversy of a certain English diocese proves its going to take more than an Alex Carlile QC to flush this toilet out.

    2. Enforcer you allude to 'a certain English diocese' presumably the IICSA hearings (interesting discussions on that most civilised site Thinking Anglicans). I doubt it is 'just' a certain diocese after all the key issues of authority, misogyny and clericalism would be relevant to all Anglican dioceses. The diocese in question was a haven for abusers who hid behind their position. Anonymous below talks of the harmlessness of Christian, read some of the survivors testimony on the IICSA website. Perhaps rather than engaging in attacking Islam, we should address our own shortcomings? adarynefoedd

  6. What we should do with Muslim extremists?
Simple: preach the Gospel of Christ to them, to try and convert them to Christianity!
If we succeed, they will stop being violent, and start doing good.
Even if they become Christian extremists, all they will do is run a food bank or open a soup kitchen for the homeless!
Who would object to this policy?
Not "real" muslims, who say that the terrorists are not real muslims. After all, it shouldn't matter to them whether these 'non-muslims' are Christians or atheists or anything else.
Not atheists / liberals / muslim apologists. After all, it shouldn't matter to them whether they are Christians or muslims - they think all believers are deluded fools.
Not those of other faiths. After all, it shouldn't matter to them whether they are Christians or muslims.
    Of course Christians wouldn't object.
The only possible opponents of such a policy are those who support the Islamisation of western society.
Let's suggest this, and see who objects!

  7. A military, naval, health, college, scout and guides chaplain would be grounded for preaching the above especially with a view to convert. Are you out of your mind man? We will have nothing left if any more like you are ordained.

    1. I asked who would object, having demonstrated that the only possible opponents of such the policy are those who support the Islamisation of western society. 'Enforcer' then objects! QED
