Mutual flourishing

  1. So the Church is undergoing a 'cultural change' ,which strikes me as an indictment of our Faith.
The Church is more than a culture - that is,a way of acting or behaving. Perhaps Archbishop Welby really meant to say 'cultural revolution' of the Mao type, in which the party is purified!
Our Faith is not merely a culture but is that of the One Holy Catholic Church handed down from the Fathers of the Church.
Archbishop Welby also mentioned 'love (and trust) ' saying that love must be received,in order to be effective.
God loves each and every one of us whether that love is received by us or not. Should not the love that Archbishop Welby seeks to extend for all parts of the Church to flourish, be a love that emulates the love of Christ, rather than the Archbishop's own type of love pertaining to the culture of the Church of England?
