He was aided and abetted by his chief henchman at the time, the then-Bishop of St David's (who our much-mourned former Bishop used to refer to as 'the slippery snake of St Davids'). If Barry is fronting the vigil at Llandaff (pray that he won't be) you can expect all kinds of caveats and qualifications to avoid upsetting the Muslim Brotherhood (Glamorgan Branch).Beleaguered of Bangornoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4019954714374602353.post-77277583121404502492014-08-22T13:11:45.448+01:002014-08-22T13:11:45.448+01:00I hope Ancient Briton and others will attend the P...I hope Ancient Briton and others will attend the Prayer Vigil for Christians in Iraq at Llandaff Cathedral on September 6th.Barnabasnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4019954714374602353.post-54210813056791370732014-08-22T11:14:16.837+01:002014-08-22T11:14:16.837+01:00Again, is there any possibility of balance and nua...Again, is there any possibility of balance and nuance here? Yes, the beheading of James Foley is an outrage against all civilised standards of human decency and the activities of ISIS and other Islamist extremists is a threat to world peace. This is not just my view: it is the view of the leaders of the local Mosque in my part of Cardiff who invited me for lunch yesterday. We may have significant theological differences, but we are at one in our desire to condemn this and many other outrages. Not all Muslims should be tarred with the brush of inhumanity and terrorism.

I'm just wondering... Has there been any comment about this from Byzantine Barry yet?Llandaff Pelicannoreply@blogger.com
